What is CAST?
We're a membership organization dedicated to fostering innovation within the entertainment industry.
CAST provides buyers from across the entertainment industry a place to discover new products and new ideas that can support their businesses to grow and evolve.
Our aim is to increase the visibility of innovation across entertainment through our quarterly 'Future of' events, as well as publications and newsletters we contribute to.
Our membership launches in September giving founders the opportunity to learn from sales experts, share leads and connect with top sales targets.
Why is CAST Important?
Despite rapidly evolving consumer expectations and shrinking profit margins from legacy business models in music, art and sporting events, the media and entertainment industry invests only 2.2% percent of revenues into R&D (Innovation). (Source: PwC Global Innovation 1000 report, 2022).
Beyond the major multinational entertainment companies, the majority of the sector lacks the scale, capital and time resource and capability to invest in R&D. It needs support.
Even when the appetite for innovation is there, venues, festivals, conferences and stadiums exist in an industry silo separate from the technology sector.
Similarly, entertainment tech start-ups often lack the industry networks that would help them bring products to market that would improve the industry’s efficiency, market appeal and profitability.

For over a decade, I've seen firsthand how powerful networks are in propelling success. In the music industry, collaboration fuelled the rise of artists and projects.
Witnessing this same dynamic within startups – where I built communities for pre-series A companies, surrounded by successful founders and VCs who were pouring billions into startups – I saw an urgent need for change within entertainment.
While leading Entain's Australian innovation strategy (a global entertainment giant), I witnessed the flip side: many startups struggled to connect with corporates. This experience ignited a mission to bridge the gap between the industry and the innovators.
By leveraging my experience alongside our advisors, who bring 30+ years of senior executive experience in government and the private sector, with strong networks across sports, music, innovation, and the broader entertainment industry, CAST is making innovation visible within the entertainment industry.
